SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The optimal management of material, warehousing, and storage in order to timeously supply the correct quantity of material and equipment.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

Matric (Grade 12)
Additional Qualifications
Diploma or relevant tertiary qualification in Inventory and Store Management
Minimum Work Experience
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Material and Equipment Control
- Establish and Manage Site Store.
- Plan the layout of the storage areas considering stock levels, product sizes and weight.
- Control storage of material, plant, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure material, plant, tools, and equipment are stored safely and security processes are implemented.
- Prepare inventory and stock take reports.
- Exercise control over store activities.
- Maintain proper inventory records.
- Manage stock levels.
- Ensure stock is received, verified, stored, and documented according to procedure.
- Conduct monthly stock take of material, plant, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure proper housekeeping of Store.
- Provide information on inventory performance.
- Implement processes of improvement to minimize costs.
- Ensure that discrepancies are resolved.
- Monitor the loading and off-loading of vehicles, taking cognizance of vehicle load capacities and safe practices.
- Expediting of all purchase orders, follow-ups on deliveries and collections, reporting on orders.
- Dispatching and return of tools and equipment.
- Document and Schedule the return delivery of material and tool to Head Office
Compliance
- Ensure proper utilization of resources to ensure both the adequacy and efficiency of all assigned resources
- Compliance with Quality requirements
- Compliance with Health and Safety Requirements
- Compliance with Environmental Requirements
- Supply management with periodical and required monthly reports and inventory statistics
Expediting
- Expediting and ensuring that delivery schedules are met
- Weekly Expediting reports to Project Managers and Immediate Manager
- Providing accurate information on the delivery of products ordered
- Follow up on backorder parts and raising the relevant alarm on overdue and critical orders
- Ensure timeous delivery of items
