The CPT061HV project, awarded to Tractionel Enterprise in March 2022, represents a flagship initiative in strengthening the Western Cape’s power infrastructure, enabling enhanced capacity and reliability for a major new Data Centre development. Entrusted by Stefanutti Stocks Building Western Cape, the mandate extends across the full project lifecycle – from design and procurement to construction and commissioning – of critical 132kV transmission assets.
The Scope of Works includes the construction of two new 132kV substations, namely Winelands Substation (Customer) and Hills Substation (Utility), Feeder bay extensions at Blaauwberg and Plattekloof substations (Utility), Overhead line works, including loop-in loop-out at Hills, closing spans at Plattekloof and Blaauwberg, and installation of a new 48-core 21kA OPGW system.
With a project value of approx. R145,000,000, this project underscores our capacity to deliver large-scale, high-voltage infrastructure that underpins mission-critical facilities.
