Tractionel’s 40th birthday

Dear Stakeholder,

Today we are celebrating Tractionel’s 40th birthday. Looking back at forty years, we can recall the highs and lows, the exiting as well as the outright daunting times. When Johan Boshoff started the Company on this day in 1982, his only goal was to provide a save and sustainable livelihood for his family. Little did he know that his dream would grow into all that Tractionel is today.
Tractionel is not only a respected and pioneering market leader in the electrical infrastructure construction environment, but also a haven for its employees and a generous contributor to the communities in which we operate.

As a collective, we started this year knowing that things are going to be different. By grace, we survived a world-wide pandemic and for the first time since the dreaded layoffs in 2018, Management was truly optimistic about the future. This culminated in a lekgotla in April dubbed Vision 2025 where EXCO laid out our vison and goals for the next three years. I am excited to confirm that we are still on track to achieve, and in many aspects, exceed the goals we set for ourselves and Tractionel.

We continue to thrive thanks to our unwavering team members. The diverse characteristics, perspectives and backgrounds that each of them brings to Tractionel, is what is setting us apart. True to our mission, they create wealth for stakeholders, add value and strive for excellence, all whilst enjoying the experience. Together we challenge the status quo and keep on reinventing ourselves to remain the market leaders in our field of expertise.

Whilst Tractionel is positioned for growth, and excited about the future, we are not oblivious about the challenges we are facing. Our country is in desperate need of strong leadership, poverty and unemployment is at an all time high, and our clients’ expectations are more demanding than ever.

I know we can respond to these challenges and changing markets. I know we are resilient, enthusiastic and resolute. Let us take hands and embrace the future. Let us continue to do the right thing, at the right time, all the time.
